I began having sessions with Venetia in 2021 to  work through a variety of issue areas impacting my personal and professional life. These ranged from conflict management and resolution to power imbalances in relationships to setting and upholding boundaries. Through our sessions, we also dissected topics around identity and values, guilt and shame, regret, and the importance of investing into one’s own energy and wellbeing. As a senior leader working in a high pressured multicultural environment, and as a person who has a de-facto tendency to people please, coupled with certain past traumas that made conflict and boundaries very uncomfortable for me; the work I’ve done – and continue to do with Venetia – has helped me grow immensely in both my professional and personal relationships. As well as my relationship with myself. Venetia’s approach is pragmatic and actionable, with clear tasks to do and tools to implement. Her experience in corporate coaching also helps me be seen, heard, and coached with a sensitivity to all the facets of my life. I’ve found my time with Venetia invaluable and appreciate the introspection and maturing that come out of the journey I am on with her.

For the last couple of months, I have been fortunate to have Venetia as my coach. She has helped me navigate issues stifling my growth as an individual, by asking me pivotal questions which I was not willing to ask myself. I remember the day she asked me one particular question and allowed me the platform to answer it without the fear of judgement. In doing so, I released what was holding me back for a long while. I had an incredible, unexplainable feeling of freedom!

In life you get people who cross your path and completely change your life for the better. That is what Venetia has done for me. All of us get dealt certain cards in life and of course no one has control over it but our reactions to those cards is something that is in our control, and we can choose to live in that pain or grow because of it. The complexity comes with not necessarily having the tools to navigate those cards, thanks to Venetia, I have now learnt to grow from the challenges that life present and turning pain into power. Having Venetia as a coach has provided me with a platform to become the best version of myself, aligning where I would like to be into a practical process of how to get there, I am forever indebted to her.

I was broken, tired and had nothing left. I found my voice, my purpose and so much more – words would fail to describe the impact on my life except to say, ‘consistency is sexy’.
